The public is invited to join us at 1pm for an afternoon of speeches, music, poems, birthday cake and much more.

We plan to include speakers from our congressional delegation, as well as the Penobscot Nation, plus our State Historian and Poet Laureate.

Musical pieces will be performed by a live orchestra and choir.

The event will conclude with cake, generously provided by Bicentennial sponsor, Hannaford. Come out and celebrate with us on Maine’s 200th birthday!
