The Eastport Breakwater Gallery is located in one of Eastport’s downtown historic brick buildings. The Gallery overlooks the working waterfront with views of a deep-water bay and Canadian islands. Situated in the center of the village, we are within easy walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants, museums and the waterfront. Since opening in 2009, the Gallery has offered a blend of original fine art, sculpture, folk art, unique crafts and distinctive gifts. The owners, Cynthia and Michael Morse, are artists themselves and are committed to showing established artists and emerging new talents. We represent over 35 artist and craftspeople with a focus on Maine. You will also find work from New England, New Brunswick and beyond. The Gallery is open from May through December. The owners live above the Gallery and can be contacted anytime by phone or visiting the website.

Cynthia and her husband Michael are owners of the Eastport Breakwater Gallery. She is a pastel artist who enjoys painting throughout the state of Maine. Nature is important to her because of the profound beauty it holds as well as its solitude. In her work she is interested in showing a sense of space, time and atmosphere. She says, “Pastels are wonderful to work with because of the many color choices and the rich texture that the pastel provides.” Cynthia is a graduate of University of Maine at Orono and has taken pastel classes from the Maine College of Art. Cynthia and her husband are full time residents of Eastport and live above their Gallery.
