Shannons saco River Sanctuary

“We tented there x2, once on the riverfront and the other riverview. Both sites were lovely, the riverfronts are more spaced out and well shaded but the riverviews had trees between them, some shade, some sun, and best of all they had grass.The owners were very friendly, clean showers and bathrooms. The store was small but well stocked with items like musturd, relish, etc. and smores makings!!!!There is morning coffee, soda, etc. A nice little rec hall and a huge playground/sports field area. We will go back every year. They are also on the quiet end of the Saco River, very family friendly. Last year the bugs were bad due to all the rain, we were there Memorial Day this year 2010 and they were few and far between.n The river is low and access is great. We will return.”
